If you follow me on Instagram you know how much I love my hats. A hat can really transform an outfit and it can also be great for those “not so good” hair days. I have wavy hair and it’s not the easiest to manage, so hats for me are perfect. They not only spice up an outfit, but make it easier for me to leave the house on time… not even kidding 😉
Hats are worn all year, but each season there are different types of hats due to the weather. During the Spring we see more straw hats and some wool fedoras, but as we head into summer the wool hats seem a bit too hot to wear so we see more of the straw hats like this one (here) for the warmer weather. This fall lots of wide brim hats and boater hats were seen on runways such as Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Chloe, Chanel, Donna Karen. Also, these hats were seem on the streets during fashion week. To wear a hat you have to be comfortable and if you’re not try a beanie or a smaller hat such as this to start (here). The smaller brims are much easier to wear, but the large brim hats are so fun. The best way to know what hat is right for you is to go try them on, make sure you feel OK and that the hat sits well on your head. By this I mean getting the right size which is key in making sure the hat is not too large or too tight.
Below I’ve listed a few brands that I’m loving as well as inserted images of a few ways I styled my hats. Hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any questions about any of the brands or how to style a hat send me a message and I will get back to you.
